House music legend Lee Burridge and his global party series turned record label All Day I Dream have made a massive mark on dance music. Lee’s signature languid, melodic aesthetic has inspired a new generation in the continuum of house music. Now, the renowned party series and record label All Day I Dream releases their annual VA, entitled ‘Summer Sampler 2022.’ Lee has packed this 3-disc compilation to the brim with talent, featuring an all-star lineup of ADID family across the 12 tracks.
The compilation is kicked off with Fizzy Pop by Club Space resident and Miami royalty, Layla Benitez, featuring vocals from Max Milner. Despite her recent stardom as a rising talent in the world of music production, Layla has a rich history of DJing. The daughter of Studio 54 legend and house music pioneer John ‘Jellybean’ Benitez, Layla has frequented DJ booths since birth, and started mixing records at age 13.
Since her residency at Club Space began, Layla has quickly risen in the international club scene. She opened for Damian Lazurus and Black Coffee at their Hi Ibiza residency earlier this summer, and is now amidst a 40-show summer tour through Europe, with forthcoming shows in France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Turkey, and the UK.
This year’s Summer Sampler features an astounding assortment of talented artists from all corners of the world. Australia’s Double Touch teams up with Germany’s Flowers On Monday for ‘True‘- a tranquil, dream-like ballad, while Andy Woldman of Mexico and Liam Sieker of Australia offer an uplifting contribution filled with playful melodie, ‘Eudaemonia.’ Hot off their recent EP Les Voyeurs De La Nuit EP, label boss Lee Burridge is back again with frequent collaborator and longtime friend Lost Desert, closing out the compilation with their euphoric revisit of D*Note‘s ‘The Garden Of Earthly Delights.’
All Day I Dream has been busy this Summer, putting on shows around the world. For the past eleven years, All Day I Dream’s Summer season has helped forge beautiful memories that last a lifetime. Forty cities, hundreds of parties, and countless miles later, the eponymous daytime brand has crafted both a legacy as well as a worldwide musical movement. ADID recently held shows in Mykonos, Toronto, and Denver, and are continuing their 2022 world tour through the end of September, with upcoming shows in Ibiza, Mykonos, Montreal, and Brooklyn.
We hope you can join All Day I Dream to experience the celebration of this incredible music, during what is set to be our biggest and most memorable Summer ever.
Italian multi instrumentalists, singer/songwriters, DJs and label owner duo Giolì and Assia release the new single “Playing Chess” from their forthcoming third studio album, ‘Fire, Hell and Holy Water.’
Following the release of recent singles “Fire Hell and Holy Water,” “Silence,” and “I’ll be Fine,” the 4th single, “Playing Chess,” brings us closer to the LP, set for release on September 9th on Ultra Records. The single is a piece of Depeche Mode-style electronica that was initially inspired by Florence & the Machine‘s track ‘Shake It Out.’
One of the most energetic singles on the album, ‘Playing Chess‘ is led by Gioli‘s uptempo drums and complemented by her captivating piano chords and Assia‘s vocals. The push-pull effect of the instrumentation reflects on the contrastingly intense and introspective nature of the record, all while showcasing the couples’ unending love for one another.
“The lyrics revolve around the metaphor that we are nothing but pawns on a chessboard; part of a game, of a mechanism that is none other than the society in which we live today, which alienates us away from our more human and true form,” Giolì and Assia said in reference to the creative process behind writing the single.
“The only escape from this game is the night; only in the night we reveal our true selves, only during the night we can be free, ‘but when it’s dark I know our souls are true, yeah when it’s dark I see the light in your eyes, but when it’s sunshine, you hide,” they added.
Hailing from Palermo, Italy, Giolì & Assia have captured the hearts of fans around the world with their sublime and ethereal soundscapes. The duo create genreless sounds that are entirely their own from start to finish without any outside collaboration. Giolì, a masterful pianist who has been honing her craft since the age of 8, plays the piano, cello, drums, guitar, and handpan, with Assia commanding lead vocals and guitar across the album.
Giolì & Assia will continue touring around the world into the Summer & Fall, returning to North America in September with their biggest headline shows to date at LA’s The Novo and Brooklyn Steel. The duo also have festival slots at Czech festival Colours of Ostrava, Austria’s FM4 Frequency Festival, Chicago’s ARC Music Festival, Las Vegas’s Life is Beautiful, San Francisco’s Portola, and more.
Set for release September 9th on Ultra Records, ‘Fire, Hell and Holy Water‘ is the band’s biggest body of work to date, a 16-track labor of love. Named after a well known local Sicilian saying, the record documents their turbulent and intense highs and lows as a couple, and the health problems and untimely losses of relatives during the pandemic. Referencing a plethora of major sonic influences, the pair cite London Grammar, Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Labyrinth’s Euphoria score, U2 and Ludovico Eunaudi as just a few of the many formative inspirations on their landmark forthcoming album.
Around the album launch and tour dates, Giolì & Assia recently launched a contest to win a golden custom G&A handpan, vinyl test pressing, merch capsule, 2 tickets to a headline show, meet & greet and more. Enter to win via the link here.
There is magic in nostalgia, and this iconic crossover between electronic pioneers Vintage Culture and Three Drives proves it. Bridging a gap of twenty-five years of musical evolution, this contemporary reprise of ‘Greece 2000’ paints serene skies over the vibrant Balearic waves it radiates, rendering it a quintessential track for a sunset scene.
Joining forces to reimagine a ’90s dance classic, Vintage Culture and Three Drives each brought their own quirks into the mix to produce a record that remains faithful to the original’s essence.
The unmissable melody instinctively triggers fond memories of velvet horizons and salty breezes, with a dream-induced break to highlight the nostalgic nature of the track.
Teased during some of Vintage Culture‘s biggest global sets (including his Cercle show in São Paulo, Brazil), this classic incarnate has been tantalizing the Brazilian artist’s fanbase for months before finally seeing its release on Armada Music.
From the tiny municipality of Mundo Novo, Vintage Culture has risen to international stardom through his songwriting, studio productions and charismatic stage presence. Already a household name in his homeland of Brazil, he ascended to the #1 selling artist on Beatport and #1 Most Played Producer on 1001Tracklists last year.
His career took off in 2019 following the release of his Jorja Smith and Maverick Sabre remix, and Vintage Culture has since enjoyed Platinum success on multiple singles, as well as topping the Billboard Club / Dance and Spotify Dance Charts. Having collaborated with and remixed the likes of Rufus Du Sol, Tiësto, Bob Moses, Sonny Fodera and James Hype, he is known for his irresistible melodies combined with driving instrumental rhythms to create a mesmerising style and sound which is uniquely recognisable.
Three Drives are the Dutch progressive trance duo behind the 1997 global hit, ‘Greece 2000‘. After conquering European clubs and dance floors, the track peaked at #12 in the UK Singles Chart, and reached #1 in its Dance Chart.
Their productions have been supported by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Tiësto and Pete Tong. Since its release, the track has been remixed over fifty times, each interpretation adding a unique edge to a timeless piece.

Needing little introduction, revered Australian producer DJ and producer Hook N Sling returns and this time – drops his powerful new single ‘Cruel Summer’.
Coming hot off the back of his last release ‘Asking For A Friend‘ (with Marlhy), Hook N Sling now presents the fittingly named ‘Cruel Summer‘ – which features the vocal talent of fellow Aussie, DARCI.
With the single delivering a modern reimagining of the much-loved classic of the same name (by UK pop duo, Bananarama), Hook N Sling pays homage to the iconic 80’s influenced sound & delivers a future sure-fire player.
Hook N Sling recently commented:
“The idea for ‘Cruel Summer’ first came about when DARCI and I were talking about making a bootleg for our sets. Both being from Australia, this song reminds us of hot summers at the beach & embodies that feeling of being trapped in a sometimes cruel summer”.
Emerging in 2011, Anthony Maniscalco – who’s better known by his stage name Hook N Sling, first introduced himself onto the global stage with ‘Take You Higher‘ – which went on to become a true House music anthem. Since then, Platinum selling singles have followed & Hook N Sling has gone on to work with & remix for the biggest names in the game – incl. Calvin Harris, Halsey, Kygo, Miguel, John Legend, The Chainsmokers, Demi Lovato, Lana Del Rey, Ava Max and Bazzi.
Also collaborating with A-list artists Sia, Example, Axwell, Galantis & Jason Derulo – fast forward to the present & it’s now the turn of ‘Cruel Summer‘ ft. DARCI to take centre stage, with the single looking firmly set to light up festival stages and international airwaves.
The fairly new, but immensely popular festival adds Fatima Yamaha (LIVE), HAAi, KlangKuenstler, Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, Skream, Sven Väth and many more to its line-up.
After a monumental sold-out first edition in 2021, Secret Project Festival is set to take place during Amsterdam Dance Event again in 2022. The LA-born festival has added a stellar list of artists to the line-up, including Fatima Yamaha (LIVE), HAAi, Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, Patrick Topping, Skream and Sven Väth.

From veterans like Marco Carola to the leaders of the new generation like Michael Bibi, Secret Project Festival has something to offer for a wide array of dance music fans.
Secret Project Amsterdam Dance Event 2022
Like the previous edition, Secret Project Festival will be held at het Hembrugterrein, an extraordinary venue across the water from Amsterdam’s harbor. Once serving as an industrial area, het Hembrugterrein was repurposed in 2003 as a creative and cultural institution while maintaining its original look, making it the perfect setting for multi-sensory events that Secret Project Festival has become so well-known for.
During Amsterdam Dance Event 2021, Insomniac brought its successful house and techno concept to European soil for the first time. Boasting a sold-out crowd, the anticipation was extremely high in the run up to the event, which took place across five different stages, each with a different visual concept and styles of music for everyone to enjoy alongside sculptures, light fixtures and much more to be entertained by.
The festivalgoers partied well into the night, from the gates opening to a rush of those eager to see what the festival had in store for them to the sounds of the underground styles of relentless techno and deep, melodic house and tech-house with artists such as CamelPhat, Ben Böhmer and Loco Dice B2B Marco Carola spearheading the lineup.
The industrial vibe of the location went hand in hand with the musical styles, creating a top notch audio visual delight for all involved. The Secret Project Festival European debut proved to be more than successful.
Born out of the bustling Los Angeles underground music scene, Secret Project Festival has been making waves in Europe with a string of widely acclaimed events. The first venture into the European market came with Secret Project Festival ADE 2021. Just mere months after, they upped the ante with the addition of Secret Project Portugal taking place in the sunny Mediterranean beach town of Portimão.
Secret Project Festival is part of the Insomniac portfolio of events, which partnered up with Amsterdam-based event organizer ALDA. Together they’ve increased their presence globally and it is with collaborations like Secret Project Festival that the two have cemented themselves as one of the key players in the global scene.
Ticket registration will open for an exclusive 48 hour period starting today at 12PM CET via amsterdam.secretproject.com.

Their long list of accolades adds new accomplishments constantly and consistently, putting their name high on the list of artists to follow.
While the duo manages their busy summer schedule of performances and production time in the studio, we found time to ask them a round of quickfire questions to know more about them.
Big festival or small venue?
Doesn’t really matter. If you have a great audience size is not important. Enthusiasm is!
Analog or digital?
Good question. Digital makes our life easier and you can focus more on the music than actually on the technical part…so yes, digital.
Funniest career anecdote?
I spend a gig cursing at my headphones because they were not working. I did the whole set without them, only to find out at the end, that actually I forgot to plug them in…LOL!
Biggest inspiration?
Carl Cox…by far!
Favorite release so far?
Oh God! That’s a very though one…maybe the one that’s upcoming, it’s called ‘Bass’. Stay tuned!
Latest thing you’ve learned?
I learn new things every day, so this one is not easy either… well…this weekend was the first boat party ever for the Bubba Brothers, so I learned that the sea and the waves can be a challenge. LOL
Favorite studio equipment?
Can’t really answer that because I use a lot of different equipment and brands…so, don’t want to commit to just mentioning one.
Best personal quality?
Consistency
Favorite gig you’ve played?
New Year’s Eve in Faro (Algarve), in the city center, for 20000 people. That was absolutely amazing.

J Balvin: “Romania is the first country outside of the South American continent that invited me to sing. I am grateful for your support. To be an artist, it’s not a sprint; it is a marathon, and you made everything look so much easier. If you offer love, you will receive love back. UNTOLD, thank you for your invitation to be part of this journey. I love you!”
Hardwell: “My tour manager asked me about the festivals I believe in, and I want to include them in my comeback tour. I answered immediately. UNTOLD, we are together because we share the same love for electronic music. Thank you, and I love you!”
Tujamo: “UNTOLD has a special place in my heart. I know it could be interpreted as a cliché, but in 2019 I brought my mother here. It was the first time he had accompanied me on tour. It was the most emotional moment of my life. Thank you for remaining the most captivating audience in the world”
Steve Aoki: “I’m extremely attached to this festival; it helped me a lot in my career, it helped me grow as an artist, and for that, I thank you!”

Romania is one of those countries that offers some of the best food around the world, so it’s no wonder that there were a lot of different food zones with more than 70 vendors with food and drinks where attendees had the opportunity to find everything from meat sandwiches to vegan food. And believe it or not they even had a McDonald’s inside the festival.
The 7th edition of the festival “The Temple of Luna” charmed the lucky Romanian and international guests with 4 days and 4 nights of awe, wonder, an incredibly aesthetic atmosphere, powerful music, jaw-dropping fireworks, epic lasers, CO2 cannons, colorful confetti, acrobats, dancers, face-melting bass, and a whole lot of love.
Even the most experienced and well-versed ravers in attendance will be quick to call it one of the best festivals in the world over the last few years. Those that did not get to experience it firsthand should check out some videos and photos online and prepare for the next edition. Unfortunately, it can not give an actual feel of the experience, but, it does give viewers a slight idea of the magnitude of it.
