Sick of the status quo, the three teamed up to fuze the best of both worlds forming a rebellious bass-bouncer with radiating vocals.
United by the craze of an odd glitch in the matrix, called ‘2020’, ‘Pineapple Tacos‘ aims to unite people in rave again. A retro-flavored dance-house crossover with a taste of dynamite, and vocals that sum up the attitude of this loco year.

Over a decade after releasing his debut album, dance music titan Solomun has dropped details about his highly anticipated follow-up Nobody Is Not Loved, out 14th May 2021 on his own NINL label in cooperation with BMG.
Nobody Is Not Loved features an array of high-profile guest collaborators including Jamie Foxx, Planningtorock, Zoot Woman, ÄTNA (twice), Anne Clark, Isolation Berlin and Tom Smith.
The album is a bracing collection of tracks that plays out much like a DJ set – gradually increasing in tempo across its twelve tracks before mellowing out in the latter stages to ensure a soft landing.
When listening to Nobody Is Not Loved in its entirety, you immediately notice that Solomun, whose origins are in the underground DJ scene, incorporates an enormous variety of musical influences into his productions, freed from the necessity of it being suitable for club environments.
This fearlessness and sincerity feels incredibly good to listen to. Listeners can expect a wide range of electronic genres from Indie Electronica to Synthpop, Wave and Post Punk, to Solomun‘s signature club sound.
Solomun Nobody Is Not Loved
Solomun, the Bosnian-born artist who grew up in Hamburg, released his debut album Dance, Baby in 2009, which was produced almost entirely on his own. In the 11 years between the two albums, Solomun has not only produced 24 of his own records and over 50 remixes (including artists such as Depeche Mode, Leonard Cohen, Jon Hopkins, Jamiroquai, Moderat, Interpol, Editors, Foals and Lana Del Rey), but as a touring DJ has played the most relevant festivals on the planet (including Coachella, Tomorrowland, Time Warp, etc.).
He has hosted his own headline shows with crowds of up to 30,000 people, made his Ibiza residency “Solomun +1” at Pacha the most important on the island, and with his iconic Boiler Room Set also created one of the most streamed DJ sets in history.
More recently, 2020 has been yet another successful year for Solomun, who has counteracted the Covid-induced clubbing blackout by launching his new record label NINL, dropping a flurry of acclaimed singles and remixing tracks from the likes of Bob Moses, ZHU and Perry Farrell. Traditionally, before wrapping up the year, on Thursday, December 23rd, fans will be treated to Solomun‘s annual ‘Christmas in Bed Mix‘ via Soundcloud and YouTube.
Dance music fans have anxiously awaited Solomun‘s second album. Nobody Is Not Loved proves that it has been well worth the wait.
David Guetta and MORTEN delighted the dance community and beyond with a Future Rave remix of Fleetwood Mac’s classic ‘Dreams’, featuring vocalist Lanie Gardner who David Guetta discovered on Youtube.
The official music video drops today, and stars Nathan Apodaca, aka Doggface, the man who became an overnight sensation due to a viral TikTok video of him casually sipping Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice and listening to Fleetwood Mac as he was skateboarding down the road.
After eight Future Rave collaborations, racking up over 140 million streams, David Guetta teased a rework of Dreams on his Instagram, which he released last week and has already amassed 500 000 views on Youtube. T
o kick off the collaboration, Guetta sent an Instagram direct message to Apodaca who happily jumped on board as the star of the official music video. It’s been a wild ride for Apodaca, who now has 5.7 million Tik Tok followers, has been interviewed globally, hangs out with Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg to name a couple, dropped a merch line, and bought a house.
In the stunning and hilarious new music video out today, Doggface is seen bringing kids with him as he skates through new dimensions and his dreams all come true. The collaboration between Lanie Gardner who now boasts 7 million views on her Dreams cover, Doggface, David Guetta and MORTEN demonstrates the incredible power of social media and its potential to unite new forces we didn’t know we needed.
Richie Hawtin finally releases his highly-regarded 1996 CONCEPT 1 series as a digital package on January 1st, 2021 – 25 years to the day of its original release.
For the first time since its original release in 1996, Richie Hawtin’s CONCEPT 1 series will be available in it’s entirety as a digital release distributed initially only through Bandcamp.
The entire series will now be available via ‘Concept 1 1996’ as both individual tracks and a complete package, with the latter unlocking an additional exclusive bonus track.
CONCEPT 1 was first announced as a special subscription series in late 1995 which included monthly 12” releases, limited to 2000 each, and a final custom designed box to house the entire collection.
The series was a musical and distribution experiment allowing Hawtin and his partner at +8 records, John Acquaviva,, and +8,, to handle the project from beginning to end, including pressing the records themselves at their newly established ACME Vinyl Corp. in Toronto, Canada. Hawtin took control of the full creative endeavour including the complete design of the artwork and accompanying box. For Hawtin this was a way to deliver a fully cohesive creative / artistic experience from beginning to end.
Fast forward 25 years, and inspired by their commitment to prioritising artistry over commodification, Hawtin will offer this release exclusively through Bandcamp for an initial period of one month, followed by a special 3 x 12-inch vinyl release, and then released on all DSPs.
As someone who has continuously challenged mainstream release formats with his work, Hawtinidentifies the need to sustain independent and interdependent structures, and offering Bandcamp exclusivity is a show of support for a platform that is actively countering the algorithm-driven narratives dominating the music industry today.
Richie Hawtin CONCEPT 1 series
Richie Hawtin explains: “This release marked a real shift in my production style in 1996, and was the start of a significant chapter in my recording career. Everything was handled independently – from design to distribution to a subscription service to accompany it – so releasing this with Bandcamp now really captures that spirit of the landscape back in the mid-nineties.
Concept 1 was recorded in isolation at a time when I was not allowed to enter the USA and with everything going on in the world at this moment, it felt like the right time to finally release this project to a larger audience. Without the year of experimentation around the recording process of Concept 1 in 1995, I would never have gotten to the reduction that I was able to achieve later on the recording style of Plastikman ‘Consumed’. In that way this is as an important album for me than any of my Plastikman albums.”
Amidst global acclaim for his first two Plastikman albums (‘Sheet One’ and ‘Musik’), at the time Concept 1 signaled a new aesthetic pursuit for Hawtin – perhaps best described as a journey to the extremities of minimalism. Taking the notions of hypnotic repetition and subtle sonic processing as starting points, it strips down the elements of production to an almost radical sparsity, and in doing so shifts our focus towards the sonic properties and processes themselves.
Showcasing what is arguably one of the most experimental projects in Hawtin’s vast discography, Concept 1 offers, for the first time, one of his most sought after release series as a complete digital package.
Bunbury-born DJ and producer, Mike Bello is known for his uplifting synths and infectious melodies as he harnesses an energy that is totally unmatched. With his first release debuting in 2019, Mike has gone on to release an official remix for Olivia Addams’ hit ‘Sick Lullaby’ and collaborated with Japanese powerhouse Takahiro Yoshihira on ‘Hedgehog’ back in May 2020.
His uniqueness and varied influences have certainly freshened up the Electro House scene and we sat down with Mike for a quickfire round to find out a bit more about him.
