Ketamine is becoming increasingly popular under clubbers in the Netherlands

As the medicinal benefits of the dissociative anesthetic and psychoactive chemical ketamine unfold from legitimate research from around the globe, the substance is revealing its multifaceted purposes.

While it is being used in the medical field as an anesthetic, and also utilized to ease the pain of burn and battlefield victims, help with depression, and lesson the aches of chronic pain, it also is being used as a tool to help expand the collective consciousness for humanity, and is opening minds of people positively, but seemingly, its most popular usage is for people that are involved in the club scenes and rave culture.

Its popularity is at an all-time high on all corners of the globe, statistics show that its medical and recreational use, particularly in the Netherlands, has spiked noticeably. There are many different reasons for the for the influx of Dutch ketamine users, one of the more blatant reasons is the fact that under Dutch law, Ketamine is not a criminal offense to possess or use.

It is not clear how readily available it is to the public, but for those out there that want to experiment with it or tap into its medicinal benefits can do so without fear of prosecution. Considering that it is a crime in most of the rest of the world to possess and popularity is still inexorably rising, it only makes sense that for in a place where it is not a crime to use that it would be used more frequently but the general public; certainly, in settings where it is most popular in the rest of the world like in raves and clubs.

According to a report from Dutchnews.nl, just 1.1% of adults in the Netherlands have used ketamine at some point in their lives, but that 17.3% of clubbers have used the chemical, with 12.3% of them using it at least one time in the prior year.

Ketamine was involved in almost three percent of cases referred for medical help in 2009, but that it had risen to over eight percent by 2017, it is certain that the numbers are currently far beyond that with its worldwide advancement into the public spotlight.

The data gathered from the research indicates where MDMA and cannabis are more popular among the masses in the Netherlands, that they are pretty much leveled out in terms of increasing popularity.

There are more people that use them, but the numbers are consistently staying the same except for with ketamine, which is on a continuous climb everywhere on the planet. The ketamine movement is snowballing and it does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon, there are online resources to find legal ketamine clinics around the world, even in the United States with its less than progressive drug laws.

It can be expensive to go to the clinics, but the medicine is beneficial to a lot of people and is a good starting place to become introduced to those for those that are interested in tapping in.

BREAKING: Tomorrowland Winter just unveiled its beautiful Mainstage [VIDEO]

tomorrowland winter mainstage

While Tomorrowland is superior to other music festivals in many different ways, one of the significant differences is the magical stages that it presents to the attendees. The production is unfathomable and unmatched, and when the festival is operating, the people that get to experience its sublime wonder are often left in a state of inexplicable amazement.

For the unaware to grasp the magnitude of just how incredible it truly is would take for them to stand in front of it to fully understand exactly how marvelous it is. Words cannot express the sheer magic that even the smaller stages possess, but at any Tomorrowland related event, the main stage is inimitable.

To call the main stage at Tomorrowland gigantic would be an understatement, it is way bigger than that, however, it is not just the size of it that is the impressive part, the impressive part is that it comes to life. The stages interact with the attendees. Without the lasers, lights, and music, the intricate and detailed moving parts that make up the stages have the power to put people in a trace while they marvel at its stunning display, especially the main stage. Calling it awesome would be selling it short.

As if the hype surrounding the premier wintertime edition of Tomorrowland, “The Hymn of the Frozen Lotus”, did not already have people busting at the seams with excitement, they have released a short trailer exposing the plans and appearance of the main stage for the event that will take place on an elite ski resort in France, and it is astonishing.

The video starts out with a blueprint style sketch version of the stage coming to life before it unleashes its full color. Once it is fully brought to life it gives a sneak peek into something remarkable.

The only people that will truly get know how special it is going to be are those that stand before it, but the rest can use their imaginations and try their best to understand. Watch the jaw-dropping stage revealing video below and prepare yourselves for a magical show.

Ilan Bluestone returns to Anjunabeats with “Mama Africa”

ilan Bluestone

There are few artists that ooze the Anjunabeats DNA quite like ilan Bluestone; a passionate performer who’s onstage presence is as emotive as his song writing.

Continuing to wear his heart on his sleeve throughout the year, 2018 saw the release of his debut album ‘Scars’ (an instant Anjuna classic) and accompanying worldwide album tour: culminating in his rousing closing performance at Above & Beyond’s landmark ABGT300 celebrations in Hong Kong. Making an equally bold opening statement in 2019, ilan Bluestone returns to Anjunabeats with the ‘We Are The Universe EP’, including 6 new original productions.

A mix of endearing vocal tracks and innovative trance instrumentals, the release reflects ilan’s love of energetic dance music. The first single from the release sees a fan favourite from both ilan and mentors Above & Beyond’s recent performances, ‘Mama Africa’.

Bearing the prestigious ‘tronce’ seal, ‘Mama Africa’ delivers an ilan Bluestone-sized hit of driving rhythmic bass notes, cascading synth layers and the return of now frequent collaborator EL Waves (Elizabeth Osei) in another stunning vocal performance.

Elizabeth explains how the track draws heavily from her cultural roots, “This is a song of love and blessing for my Mother, Father and Loved ones. In Akan culture we recognise the sacrifices that each individual makes to raising children of the next generation, passing down the wisdom’s from the old into the new, so sending out blessings is something we do to show love and appreciation and to say thank you.”

ilan Bluestone and EL Waves’ ‘Mama Africa’ is out now, with the full EP release arriving this Spring.
