Wrigley Field DJ fired after playing “Irresponisble” track during CUBS game
After Cubs closer Aroldis Chapman pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning against the Cardinals on Sunday night, the Cubs DJ pumped The Prodigy‘s 1997 hit, “Smack My Bitch Up,” through the Wrigley Field PA system in an effort to get the home crowd pumped.
Chapman served a 30-game suspension with the Yankees this year after an alleged domestic-violence incident in which Chapman was accused of choking his girlfriend and firing eight bullets in his garage. Chapman was not arrested and no charges were filed.
“The selection of this track showed a lack of judgment and sensitivity to an important issue“, Cubs president Crane Kenney said in a statement.
“We have terminated our relationship with the employee responsible for making the selection and will be implementing stronger controls to review and approve music before public broadcast during our games”

Have you ever wondered who Michael Phelps listens to before swimming in the pool? Like many athletes the 31-year-old uses music to get him pumped up before a race—in his case, the music of Skrillex, NERO and Steve Aoki.
In a short video interview for NBC, the recently-retired gold medal swimmer dropped IDs from his pre-plunge playlist.
“The music that I’ve been listening to this time around…I’ve got some old school hits. I’ve been going out to some old-school Eminem when I get to the pool, and then I change it up to… Nero and Skrillex “Promises”… EDM. Got some old-school [Steve]Aoki in the mix from 2008…”
Sjoerd Janssen and Wouter Janssen aka Showtek, once known as being leaders in the hardstyle scene, abruptly decided to transition to big room – electro house to help gain popularity among the North American dance music scene.
Many fans didn’t agree with their choice and to this day some still post comments asking them to come back to Hardstyle. Now four years later has been released Mellow, the new powerful hardstyle track by Showtek with Technoboy and Tuneboy on the label Skink.
The Dutchmen go back to their roots and there’s strong evidence of that in its massive synths and heavy kicks. Coupled with highly addictive and recognizable vocals, Mellow is a floor-smasher to say the very least.

If you’ve ever thought about telling women what they should be doing, maybe you should think twice before doing that. Will Sparks gave out about women using Snapchat filters, and the internet put him in his place.
The Melbourne Bounce DJ and producer posted a status in which he condemned women for using Snapchat to take selfies instead of sharing more inspiring, exciting content.
“I strongly suggest doing something GOOD, MOTIVATING, INSPIRING or maybe even ENTERTAINING or EXCITING! You have this massive following yet all you use it for is to fulfil your significance and love for CERTAINTY aka ‘likes/views’. You’ll feel a lot better contributing to these people’s lives, helping them to grow”.
Even though the post was removed from his official Facebook page, the Internet quickly sent in a flurry of outraged responses. Below, you’ll find Will Sparks’ original post and several of the retorts.
