Krewella forced to upload new video because of Deadmau5 [VIDEO]

Krewella, the sister EDM duo from Illinois, has continued to be at the forefront of women empowerment. With all the sass and appropriate attitude they displayed in the music video for their latest single, Bitch of the Year, we couldn’t imagine a release date more perfect than the one they chose, International Women’s Day.

The sisters really showcased the rap talent they possess in their newest song and easily voiced their message of women independence by “switching up the f****** gear, up in your f***** ear, screaming it loud and clear”

Although, their message was delivered loud and clear, not everyone interpreted the new hit in a positive way. Canadian house DJ and producer, Deadmau5 took offense when he realized they had a picture of him in the video, when Jahan is rapping, “I don’t need your cosign”.

Deadmau5 has since threatened legal action, as well as talking about the lack of talent and over use of autotune Krewella displayed in their new release. The latest version of the video has been edited, removing the iconic DJ Deadmau5

Normally, EDM DJ and producer, Steve Aoki is the one throwing a cake at his shows. In fact, adoring fans usually fight to be the one who gets caked by the DJ. But when actor Vin Diesel is in the house, things get “Fast and Furious” and out of hand quickly.

Steve Aoki‘s Kolony Tour stopped at The Shrine in L.A. Friday night and a ton of celebrities were in the house, including Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom MorelloJeremy Scott, his sister Devon Aoki and Desiigner, who opened for the DJ.

‘The Fast and the Furious’ actor was also there and he was tasked with caking a member of the audience. Instead, however, he stabbed Steve Aoki in the back, or caked him in the face to be more specific.

“I WANNA CAKE SOMEONE TONIGHT!” Vin Diesel screams just before he launches the potentially the most epic two-handed cake throw ever known to man.

The video is priceless. You will absolutely love watching the documented moment. Check out the video below!

Here’s what the inside of Deadmau5 helmet looks like!

Aside from being a legendary house DJ and producer, Joel Zimmerman, better known as Deadmau5, has also become known for his famous mouse head helmet that he wears at each of his live shows.

According to a post made by a user on the social media platform, Reddit, there’s a lot more going on with Deadmau5 helmet than meets the eye.

“At the front on the bottom of the LED mau5head there’s a small camera and those little goggles inside the mask bring him up close to a small screen which shows what the camera sees,” Reddit user _lack explained.

“Kind of like an Oculus Rift or something. The mau5head was able to display multiple images which went with the music adding more visual effects to his already amazing stage setup known as ‘The Cube’ when he performed with this particular mau5head” he added.

The post also included two photos displaying the inner workings of the helmet. Check them out below:

Andrew Rayel & David Gravell release ‘Trance ReBorn’

Andrew Rayel

“Trance ReBorn” is the newest release from inHarmony Music label chief, Andrew Rayel, together with production wonder kid, David Gravell. The track is the official anthem for Andrew Rayel’s internationally broadcast radio show, “Find Your Harmony,” episode #100.

Thumping. Pulsating. Sweeping. The music of mainstage electronic dance music DJ and producer, Andrew Rayel, never fails to spark feelings of glee. Teaming-up once again with fellow trance music producer, David Gravell, Rayel takes part in a collaboration certain to delight lovers of melody the world over. Andrew Rayel & David Gravell’s “Trance ReBorn” (inHarmony Music) is out now.

The allure of “Trance ReBorn” is described by the track’s title. Holding an ideal balance of soaring highs and heartstrings-tugging harmonies coupled with propulsive beats, the record is made for peak-time.

The duo of Rayel and Gravell have no qualms about melting hearts with their composition and they attack the dancefloor with the same gusto they exhibit when performing live. Rayel’s signature acoustic piano-playing marks the intro, signaling that something distinct is about to occur.

Like celestial rays of light, demonstrative chords and angelic backing vocals enter the picture. Eventually, synthesizers come to take over the melody where before there was only a piano. The duo go heavy ‘n high into the lead melody, one that’s become emblematic of these two musicians. Sensations build as if under the lid of a pressure-cooker, until….boom! A roaring 4/4 beat tumbles down like a mountain of boulders, abolishing everything mild in its path.

Trance music-lovers will crave the beat so badly that this mammoth tune will seem like a quenching drink to parched lips. Satisfaction at last!

Teenagers spared jail for supplying ‘DEFCON’ ecstasy pills that killed 16-year-old

defcon ecstasy pills

A pair of teenagers who supplied DEFCON ecstasy pills which killed a 16-year-old schoolboy at a youth disco have been spared jail after the victim’s family pleaded for mercy.

Daniel Kennett, 18 years old, admitted selling Luke Campbell,16 years old, four ‘DEFCON’ ecstasy pills for £10 each. He had obtained the pills from a 17-year-old friend who bought them on the dark web using bitcoin to cover his tracks.

They had been running the racket for about 5 months, buying 25 pills of the drug, also known as MDMA, for £60 and selling them for £10 each.

Luke’s family said in a statement that they did not want the defendants to go to prison. They said Luke’s death had devastated the family but he had made the decision himself to take the tablets and was simply ‘too young and too naive’.

Kennett warned his friend Luke to be careful because these DEFCON ecstasy pills were a lot stronger than the ones he had sold him before. Luke and another friend visited the Vivid nightclub in Ilfracombe. He took one of the pills before arriving and later said he had taken three in total.

Just before midnight Luke collapsed and started fitting, he was taken to hospital where he died early the next morning.

The youth was curfewed for six months and made subject to a two year youth rehabilitation order.

This new book features all your favorite RAVE Flyers from the ’90s !

music festival

There’s a new book being put together that will be based solely around raving in the early 90’s. The book will be titled ‘Flying Over England: Rave Flyer Art Of The Early 90’s’.

Author Mike Pendegast came up with the idea after spending seven years traveling England and attending different clubs, raves and other electronic events. The book will feature numerous rave flyers that were documented throughout the years of 1991-1993.

The old school flyers are pretty cool. It shows you how far the rave culture has come and makes you appreciate the pioneers of the movement. Check out what Pendegast said in an interview with The Wire.

“Flyers document an era of peace and love, an eradication of barriers, an ethos of unity and respect. These memories can never be buried or discarded. They are an artistic history of the subculture. This was a scene that sprang from austerity into an underground, an anti-establishment movement that must be recorded as a significant era that, some may argue, altered the course of history.

“1991 to 93 was the golden age of rave art with flyers developing from photocopied, black and white scribbles of the late 80s to highly elaborate works of illustration. I kept all the flyers of raves that I attended.”

No publishing announcement has been made, but more information and pictures from the flyers can be found via the project’s website.
