A scintillating slice of melodic house, with vocals by London based singer Jalja, ‘Midnight (The Hanging Tree)’ Feat. “This track happened like a magic call,”HOSH explains.
“When 1979 sent me an instrumental it made a click and in my head I heard the hanging tree vocal on top of it. It turned out it was a perfect match, so I took it from there, made my adjustments and re-recorded the vocal with the talented Jalja.”

Composer Daniel Lopatin and filmmaker Josh Safdie sat down with Moog Music to discuss the soundtrack of ‘Uncut Gems,’ the latest Safdie brothers crime thriller featuring Adam Sandler, Kevin Garnett, Idina Menzel, and The Weeknd.
In this in-depth documentary, Lopatin details the creative process behind scoring a film that blends compulsive gambling, cosmic new age music, the NYC Diamond District, addiction, and the NBA.
“It needs to be majestic. It needs to be rich. It needs to be new. It needs to feel like it can’t be transient. It can’t be small. So I was always really, really trying to find through that alchemical process what textures would emerge…You’re just praying for those moments. And when they happen, you just hold onto them for dear life.” – Daniel Lopatin
Moog began a dialogue with Lopatin at the beginning of the scoring process, which coincided with the artist’s initial exploration of the Moog One synthesizer. Through studio visits and sound design, Moog and Lopatin developed a synergy that helped birth the unique sounds the composer had envisioned for the film’s soundtrack—sounds that nod to the synth-heavy scores and compositions of electronic music icons. This kind of creative collaboration, the instrument company notes, has always been the heart and soul of its business.
The ‘Uncut Gems‘ soundtrack was released in December on Warp Records and has since been praised by the likes of The New York Times, VICE, Pitchfork, and NPR.
“Lopatin has always contained multitudes, and in the years since the man behind Oneohtrix Point Never started scoring films, we have been reminded not only how many unconventional facets he has, but also how good he is at dismantling them.” – Consequence of Sound

After a whirlwind 2019, which saw Eric Luttrell release his acclaimed debut solo album ‘Into Clouds’ on Anjunadeep, the prolific San Francisco native makes a swift return to the UK imprint with his second LP ‘Lucky Ones’.
Kicking off this spring, Eric embarks on his most extensive headline tour to date, with 23 North American shows revealed so far, which includes a performance at the iconic Coachellafestival, with more to be announced.
First breaking into electronic music as part of the OWSLA-affiliated trio The M Machine, Eric launched his solo project in 2016 with the widely supported ‘Need You’ EP, while Anjunadeep catalog favorites ‘Generate’ EP and Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World ‘Intergalactic Plastic’ followed in quick succession.
Now with his highly-praised debut album under his belt, which reached #2 on iTunes Dance Album charts in USA and Canada and #8 in the Official UK Dance Album Charts, Luttrell’s unique brand of quirky melodic house and techno has cemented his name as one of the scenes most hotly tipped talents; opening doors to working with Moby, Tycho, Jai Wolf, and Blossoms all of whom commissioned remixes from Eric.
Whereas ‘Into Clouds’ examined the transitional periods of life, and was reflective of Eric’s mindset at the time of recording, ‘Lucky Ones’ is a celebration. Anchored in themes of gratitude, the LP is a collection of 11 meticulously crafted cuts which see him draw from a deep pool of personal influences, including the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and The Prodigy, his love for San Francisco and BurningMan, time spent as a student in Berlin, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and even winning the US TV game show, The Price Is Right.
Luttrell offers up a first taster of his new LP with the new club cut, ‘My Friend The Sun’. Bolstering an enigmatic vocal sample with an array of percussion and catchy synth stabs, Luttrell’s first album single demonstrates why he’s been championed by the likes of Annie Mac, Phil Taggart, Kolsch, Lane 8, Mixmag and Billboard, and marks a statement return for the San Franciscan ahead of his anticipated second studio album.
‘Lucky Ones’ is available to pre-order now via Anjunadeep, digitally, on CD and on limited edition 2×12” Vinyl with Luttrell motif die-cut slipcase.

Besides the main stage there will be a hardstyle stage and a Sexy By Nature stage, where Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano will play their second set of the evening. These three areas with an extremely well curated list of DJ’s insure the high quality experience Don’t Let Daddy Know stands for.
Earlier, successful Dutch dance concept Don’t Let Daddy Knowannounced that they move venues for their 2020 event from Ziggo Dome to RAI Amsterdam. Ever since its inception on party island Ibiza, the Don’t Let Daddy Know events turned into much more than just a club night; they became a movement, a lifestyle. Luuk van Dijk starts a brand new imprint of his own called Dark Side Of The Sun. The very first EP ‘Suavo’ is ready to set the tone with two of Van Dijk’s own high impact tracks and a remix from house tastemaker Sidney Charles, while collaborations with events and potentially a club night will follow.
Luuk Van Dijk has started the brand to give himself more freedom in releasing his own music, whatever he likes and whenever he wants to. Dark Side Of The Sun will allow him to explore his own musical boundaries and make him progress as an artist, while tapping up talented friends for remixes. As such, it will become a platform for the wide spectrum of house and techno. In his own words: “it will be happy, housey, dark, baddass basslines, dry beats, tight, swing; you name it.”
The main track ‘Suavo’ is a hard-hitting house tune with rock solid kicks and spaced out pads that bring warmth and atmosphere. The track is designed to the get the dance floor sweating and never lets up. Remixing is Sidney Charles, the German house connoisseur who runs his own Heavy House Society. He strips things back to a more tripped out and garage tinged groove with infectious drums and turbo-bass that makes you want to move.
Luuk Van Dijk Suavo
Finally, Van Dijk offers the dark and paranoid ‘Flangosh’, again with rolling, well programmed drums and slick hi-hats. This time with some industrial, warehouse styled sounds that make it feel raw and naughty.
This massive first EP will lead the way for Dark Side Of The Sun to evolve into a known name in the scene.
At just 23 years of age, rising star Maurice West already boasts an anthology of originals, collaborations and remixes larger and more successful than most.
The Amsterdam native has an unwavering prowess for catchy and anthemic productions, and to round out a career-defining year in the studio, he treats fans to another hedonic addition to his already flourishing discography – ‘EUFORIKA 2000’ is now available via all streaming platforms.
The track opens with an infectious melodic hook that can be heard at various points throughout its three-minute run time, defining its motive with anthemic flare. Repurposing the euphoric riff as a trance-led synth, Maurice builds the intro, adding softer pads before the drop that brings about a change in texture.
After a staple Bigroom build up, the four-to-the-floor chorus drops alongside a pitch-blending synth, galvanised by a driving beat. West then nods to his diverse musical upbringing with a virtuosic guitar-peddled lead synth that takes focus, leading the track to its final drop and chorus.
‘EUFORIKA 2000’ closes a chapter on the Dutch sensation’s most successful year to date both in the studio and onstage, and comes just two months after his first self-release ‘What The F?!’.
In addition to his many festival appearances this summer, Maurice once again proved his talents in curating an event of his own, as he hosted the second edition of ‘Maurice West & Friends’ during ADE 2019. Producing infectious Bigroom tracks that are powered by melody, West is paving the way for the next generation of Bigroom stars, whilst redefining the genre with purpose.
