Tomorrowland 2019 Tickets Sell Out in 40 Minutes

tomorrowland 2018 aftermovie

This past week, the first batch of Tomorrowland pre-sale tickets were released. Much like years prior, tickets sold out in record times.

Around 200,000 pre-sale tickets were released strictly for the Belgian market and sold out in a little over an hour. A second batch of 100,000 pre-sale tickets were also released for international sale. Tickets sold out in just 50 minutes.

Just like other massive festivals, pre-registration was needed in order to snatch Tomorrowland tickets. This year’s festival has seen a drastic 30% increase compared to last year’s registered attendees according to Tomorrowland’s spokesperson, Debby Wilmsen. This thing really is just getting bigger and bigger.

The remaining 70,000 tickets for international sale were available today, February 2nd. This final batch had a price increase from around 293 euros compared to the 249 euro starting point. Day pass prices increased to 109 from the original 105.50.

It only took 40 minutes for this amazing festival to sell out all the remaining tickets for international sale.

This year will mark the 15th anniversary of Tomorrowland. The world-famous festival takes place over two weekends: July 19-21 and July 26-28 in Boom, Belgium and this year’s theme is “The Book Of Wisdom, The Return”.

Swedish House Mafia to step into the mainstage slot at Tomorrowland instead of Garrix?

Speculation across the electronic dance music world is leading various publications to release information about unconfirmed activity surrounding the festival giant’s upcoming showcase this year.

The youthful and extraordinarily talented and successful Dutch DJ and producer, Martin Garrix announced on Twitter that his presence at the event would include only one live set during both weekends of Tomorrowland. Instead of performing at the glorious mainstage like every year, his set will take place on his own STMPD RCRDS stage on the first of the two weekends only.

Over the years, Martin Garrix has always unleashed his presence on the mainstage of Tomorrowland, so the dance music community is finding it to be a bit bizarre that he is only playing one set, and not on the mainstage. His disappointed main fan base have taken to social media to express their feelings about the announcement.

Rumors have hit the public that the reason for the change is due to the fact that the legendary trio Swedish House Mafia is going to step into the mainstage slot instead of Garrix.

In an August interview last year, an active member of the group and worldwide sensation, Steve Angello spoke to De Telegraaf and told them that the Swedish House Mafia was pulling all stops out on the mission to perform at Tomorrowland’s 15th anniversary this summer.

The event that people travel from around the globe to attend is slowly releasing names of performing artists, and where the Swedish House Mafia has not been included on the lineup as of yet, hype is leading us to believe that we can expect to see their name drop in the near future on the mainstage slot.

The only clues available are the interview with Angello and the fact that Garrix is not going to be playing on the mainstage, but those circumstances seem to be legitimate cause for the major publications to bite on the teasing information.

Time will tell if the fans can expect to be blessed with the Swedish House Mafia on the mainstage at Tomorrowland or not, but chances are pretty solid that it is going down. Stay tuned as updates get released.

Andy, The Di*k Sucking King from Fyre Festival responds to public’s reaction

fyre

One of the biggest surprises stemming from the Fyre Festival documentary was the infamous di*k sucking story. If you don’t know who Andy King is, you are about to.

After watching both the Hulu and Netflix versions, it wasn’t hard to choose a favorite. Although both versions are great, Netflix gave us Andy King, and Hulu didn’t.

In a recent interview with Netflix, King explains that he’s truly blown away by the public’s reaction following the release of the documentary.

Here’s what he had to say:

“When someone reached out last weekend and said, ‘you’re trending’, I was like, ‘I don’t even know what trending means.’ People are talking about you… and yesterday people were like, ‘you’re a MEME’, I’m like What’s a MEME?”

I just don’t necessarily want to be known as the bl**job king of the world.”

Besides all the funny memes and jokes, King believes all the attention can be used for a good cause. Andy has recently channeled a lot of the attention to numerous GoFundMe pages that will help pay back the laborers who also got screwed due to Fyre Festival.

Doctor and policeman has called for MDMA to be sold in pharmacies

music festival

With a global eye on ecstasy, the world is starting to recognize the unstoppable force that it is MDMA. Acclaimed Australian Doctor Alex Wodak has publicly announced that a movement must happen to make it where MDMA is sold as a prescription drug.

He says that the chemical itself is not harmful, but the problem is that the people that manufacture it on the streets have no idea what they are doing while they are making it, and the failed doppelgangers are killing people at alarming rates.

Pure ecstasy is healing people on a worldwide scale, and it is softening the traumatic punches that are thrown by the real world. It is saving humanity, and it is not all about getting wasted to cope with life. This is something substantial that is really happening, it is not hypocrisy or fake news. It is not something that is being brought to light by the imagination of party people hoping to help people understand them better. Like it or not, it is happening. Planet Earth has found a way to break the chains of captivity from trauma, and the universe is pushing the cause through to the other side.

Doctor Wodak stated that if MDMA can be controlled, and sold in stores, that the death rates that surround it will plummet. It is not the chemical that is killing people, it is the low-level street dealers that are imposing faulty chemicals on people that is the cause for concern.

In an interview with local media, he stated:

“MDMA is a low-risk drug. It is used as a medicine, but it is clear that when it is distributed on the black market, it becomes a high-risk drug. It is being made by amateur chemists who are not experienced, who use crummy equipment, with no quality control process. There is no control over the sale of the drug and no harm reduction information”.

It is obvious that preventing people from taking drugs is something that can not be controlled. The percentage of people that get quality drugs as opposed to the people that take a counterfeit substance is lopsided on the dark side. Beyond the walls of intoxication, making MDMA available in prescription form would fight the detrimental effects that surround it such as corruption, violence, crime, and most importantly, death.

To back the statements of Doctor Wodak, a decorated former Australian Federal Police Commissioner named Mick Palmer, said that he favored the ideas and that people need to wake up.

Palmer who had a distinguished 33-year career as a police officer said”

“Unless we find ways to regulate the sale of illicit drugs and turn the current black market into the white market, we’ll never get on top of this problem, there is no doubt about that. We need to face the reality that we have no control over this market, no control over the toxicity of illicit drugs. We have to be prepared to try new ideas”

The statements made by the prominent public figures have sent shockwaves throughout authorities from around the world. The eye- opening remarks come in lieu of the skyrocketing numbers of deaths and hospitalizations from music events around Australia and beyond.

People are dying because they want to experience ecstasy, but wind up with something completely different. The faulty chemicals make their organs shut down and they die. Police cannot stop people from using chemicals, so now it becomes a public safety concern rather than a criminal implication.

The studies are there. MDMA is a chemical that can benefit humanity. Top authority figures and expert medical practitioners are coming out publicly to help people understand that the time is now to make a change.

We must flip the perspective and instead of incarcerating individuals that tap into MDMA, protect them from underworld injustices and provide them with a way to get the medicine legitimately. Wake up. What is more important, money, or human lives?
