Rave organizers trick authorities into thinking it was an engagement party

Party organizers in Australia have fooled their local authorities into thinking that their over the top rave was a big engagement party. The reasoning behind this… well, simply to avoid necessary permits.

With reports coming in from ‘Hit FM‘, Campaspe Shire officers were called on to the site to find over 50 cars with tiny tents around the property. Of course, no rave is complete without the loud banging speakers to keep everyone entertained. Organizer quickly played their trick card and told the officers it was a private event and guest did not have to pay for their entry.

The “engagement party” AKA the Wild Horses rave was kept secret and not advertised publically. Tickets and info were available through a private social media page according to the report.

Rumors have it that organizers even offered to pay off the neighbor’s accommodation for him and his family for the weekend.

Hey guys, I am waiting for my wedding invitation 😉

Timmy Trumpet & Savage team up for another successful track ‘Deja-Vu’

Timmy Trumpet

When Australian DJ Timmy Trumpet first teamed up with New Zealand MC Savage in 2014, the resulting track Freaks took the world by storm. 150 million Spotify streams and a plethora of platinum records later, the duo have made magic again. This time it’s with Deja-Vu.

The pounding bass line and huge drop teamed with Savage’s unmistakable vocals combine to make a belter of a track. Timmy Trumpet, whose relentless international touring schedule saw him jump up a massive 37 spots in the recent DJ Mag Top 100 poll to #43, explains how the track came together:

“Freaks” was a game changing record for me, opening up a whole new audience to my music. Savage is THE MAN and I knew I wanted to work with him again ever since we first got in the studio.”

‘Déjà Vu’ collaborator Savage explains why had to work with Timmy again:

“Timmy is definitely one of the most driven artist/producers that I have worked with, so when he approached me for this record I went to work straight away. I did my own remix of his “Toca” record he put out with Carnage a while ago and he had asked if I could use some of those lyrics for this one.”

They’ve done it before with Freaks, now we’re feeling it again with Déjà Vu. It’s another trumping banger that you can’t ignore.

For the first time in history, a rave will take place in zero gravity ! [VIDEO]

zero gravity rave

For the first time in history, a rave will take place in zero gravity, headlined by some of the biggest DJs in the world. Dubbed ‘The World’s Smallest Nightclub’ WORLD CLUB DOME Zero Gravity will launch on February 7, 2018 in cooperation with FRAPORT – Frankfurt Airport.

The only way to win a ticket on board the flight is to send a 20 second video application here, explaining why you deserve to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. With only two winners (one male and one female) to be selected from each continent, including an additional two winners each from Germany and India, WORLD CLUB DOME ‘Zero Gravity rave’ is one of the most exclusive, trailblazing events in electronic music history.

The specially converted A310 aircraft, used by the European Space Agency (ESA) for astronaut training flights, will take off from Frankfurt Airport on February 7. The flight will last a total of 90 minutes, with superstar DJs such as Armin Van Buuren, Steve Aoki and W&W providing the soundtrack to one of the most unique party experiences ever conceived. Partygoers and DJs will float together in weightlessness – an experience usually reserved for astronauts.

To be considered, entrants must share their 20-second application on social media with the hash tag #wcdZeroGravity as well as at the official competition site here. The first phase of finalists will be announced January 12, with the WORLD CLUB DOME jury choosing the Top 20 people (10 male and 10 female) from each continent. The final two winners from each continent will then be decided by an online vote, combined with a jury, and will be announced on January 19.

WORLD CLUB DOME Zero Gravity is yet another demonstration of how BigCityBeats are continually moving the clubbing scene forward with original and pioneering concepts. Repeatedly breaking down the boundaries of conventional clubbing, the WORLD CLUB DOME concept was founded five years ago in Frankfurt.

The event has become one of the biggest of its kind in Germany, dubbed the ‘biggest club in the world’ covering over 700,000m² with 20 gigantic stage designs, 200 spectacular headliners and the largest laser show on the continent, combining the glamour of a club with the open-air feeling of a festival.

Since its inception, the WORLD CLUB DOME concept has expanded to lead a 2000-capacity WORLD CLUB CRUISE around Europe and WORLD CLUB DOME Korea, which attracted 100,000 revelers in 2017.

As part of its series of boundary pushing events WORLD CLUB DOME also launched the ICE Club-Train, the “fastest club in the world” in 2015, a high-speed train travelling at 320km/h equipped with international DJs and partygoers. In 2015, WCD also announced the Club-Jet, the “highest club in the world” taking partygoers clubbing in a Boeing 747 sound tracked by some of the top DJs in the world. In total, WORLD CLUB DOME attracted 330,000 people in 2017 across all events, and looks to expand further in 2018, starting with WCD Zero Gravity.

Eric Prydz throws alcohol at Axwell after he messes up mixing a track [VIDEO]

eric prydz showers axwell

The Electronic Dance Music industry today is filled with two-day Twitter beef and fans that get sensitive if you dare mention that their favorite artist is anything less than perfect. Today, we bring you a blast from the past in the form of Eric Prydz throwing alcohol at and booing Axwell as he messes up a transition.

The Swedish DJ and producer, Axwell looks like he might be pretty drunk in the video in which he is DJing a party after the Swedish Music Awards. Axwell lights up with embarrassment as his colleague Eric Prydz showers him in beer and champagne but not in the way you would want.

Luckily though, Sebastian Ingrosso steps in and saves the day, and the mix right as the video ends. It is little gems like this that remind us of how carefree and genuine the industry used to be.

Coast Guard seized 12.4 tones of Cocaine worth $378 million !

cocaine

The United States Coast Guard have offloaded 12.4 tons of the drug cocaine at an estimated street value of 378 million dollars.

According to the USCG via ‘7News Miami’, through 10 missions off the coast of Central and South America and near international waters off the Eastern Pacific Ocean, the Coast Guard was able to retrieve the contraband from suspected smuggling vessels. The missions ran between mid-October and late November.

USCG commander Michael Turdo offered up some insight: “These at-sea interdictions are often high-tempo, high-risk evolutions that occur in the dark of night,”

An Escanaba cutter was used to seize the drugs, the same kind assigned to duty during Pearl Harbor which still holds significance to this day. There were also three USCG cutters and a Royal Canadian Navy ship there to assist the Escanaba with the interception of these drugs.

“Going back to the first Escanaba that we lost in World War II, the tradition lives on,” said Frederick Scott of the USCG.

“No matter what the country has faced, we will continue to push through.” he added.
