After an astonishingly strong series of releases so far in 2017, Super8 & Tab aren’t ready to leave the year without creating a bit more of a bang, and it comes in the form of their newest single ‘Pressure’.
Today, the trance duo’s brilliant new track saw its release on Armind and shows the duo going back to their trancier roots.
While the well-crafted build-up of ‘Pressure’ piles on the thrill, its impervious synths and exciting melody finish it all off in style. All put together, it’s a record aimed at the dancefloor and one sure to get fans to go wild.
Known for tearing up clubs like sharp-clawed predators do their prey, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano have found their new weapon of choice to induce carnage with.
Unleashed today on their own SONO Music imprint during the world’s biggest dance music conference (Amsterdam Dance Event), ‘La Vela (Prendre La Vela)‘ marks the next addition to the Dutch duo’s unmistakably impactful arsenal.
A genuine floor-thriller that made dance music moguls such as Tiësto take notice, ‘La Vela (Prendre La Vela)’ is a no-holds-barred anthem for the club circuit. Packing robust beats, hypnotic vocals and rhythms that thrill crowds at every turn, this brand-new offering truly is a sonic force to be reckoned with, as proven through Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano’s live sets in Miami past summer.
Today’s release of ‘La Vela (Prendre La Vela)’ comes one day prior to Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano’s own event at ADE: Sexy By Nature. Both the brand and the event series managed to become a staple in the global dance music scene through everything from delightful pool parties in Miami to stages on festivals such as Tomorrowland Belgium, and this year sees Sexy By Nature hit Amsterdam Dance Event 2017. ‘La Vela (Prendre La Vela)’ will surely be bringing the heat on Saturday, October 21st.
The official video for Steve Angello’s recent track ‘Freedom’ featuring Pusha T has been released today. Shot on tape in greyscale, the harrowing video sees the sole character fleeing on foot, from city to countryside – and begins with the quote:
Freedom ‘fri:dəm : The quality or state of being free
‘Freedom’ – featuring Grammy-nominated rap artist Pusha T – was recently released together with ‘I Know‘ as part of ‘Inferno’: the second act of two tracks from Steve Angello’s upcoming album ‘Almost Human’.
The dark, dramatic sound of both tracks from ‘Inferno’ follow on thematically from Steve Angello’s previous release ‘Genesis’. ‘Genesis’ and ‘Inferno’ will be followed by a third act, before Steve releases his highly-anticipated album ‘Almost Human’ early next year.
The three acts of ‘Almost Human‘ reflect the varying stages of Steve Angello’s life: After feeling disillusioned by his craft and following a recent spiritual awakening, Angello decided to reinvent his live performances by creating the three acts – each embodying its own universe: Genesis, Inferno, Paradiso.
Watch the official music video for ‘Freedom‘ featuring Pusha T below.

Burning Man has been making its mark since 1986 but it took a few years for the buzz to start and organizers to properly set up annual themes for the desert adventure.
Throughout the years, the themes have come and go and people have dedicated time and resources to comply and participate as closely as possible with the theme. From this year’s “Radical Ritual” to 2016’s “Da Vinci’s Workshop” the staff and participants give all their effort to be part of the community.
For the 2018’s edition, Burning Man has announced the popular theme of “I Robot” based on Issac Asimov’s popular science-fi series from the 1950’s.
1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

We live in a society that depends on technology for almost everything and we maybe to the point of no return.
“This year’s art theme will focus on the many forms of artificial intelligence that permeate our lives; from the humble algorithm and its subroutines that sift us, sort us and surveil us, to automated forms of labor that supplant us.”
Burning Man offers an escape from your daily routine, it allows you to ignore all those email alerts and gives you the ability to interact and connect with humans in an environment that only the “Playa” can provide.
At the same time, many of the art installations depend heavily on modern technology to power the unique art and music installations. It’s going to be very interesting to see how 2018’s theme plays out across all camps and the main art installations on the “Playa”.
Throughout the years we have seen Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival grow and evolve to cater to different waves of fans. This year was no different, as a matter of fact we witness this years edition cater to such a diverse music community.
From DJ Marky‘s set of Drum & Bass at The Good Room to warehouse Techno vibes that Gorgon City provided through out Saturday night. All the way from the fun an interactive venue that House of Yes is to the insane sound system that Analog Brooklyn provides, each venue paired perfectly with each individual act.
The idea of so many venues working together to showcase electronic music artists from all around the globe really shows the appreciation that not only the venues but Brooklyn as a community has towards electronic music.

Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival brings a new concept to music festivals, to be quite honest I am not sure any other city can replicate what BEMF is doing so successfully. For those who scored a festivals pass that allowed entry to all of the events during the weekend, it gave a sense of adventure being able to venue hop, all very close to each other, and enjoy different artists through out the night.
Kudos BEMF on a successful 2017 installment ! Stay tuned in the upcoming months for details on BEMF 2018.
A group of not so sneaky teenagers has the bright idea to throw a party at a seemingly abandoned home in Colorado.
They may have gotten away with this “Project X” like event too, even it weren’t for the fact that the house was actually owned by someone.
The house belonged to Mike Cox, and while he and his wife went out to eat that night, several strangers sneaked into their newly remodeled house to throw down, leaving all kinds of damage in their wake.
When Cox was interviewed after the fact, he says his initial reaction was just “Rage. Felt violated. This is our home. It’s not just an empty house that’s for sale. It’s where we live.”
On top of it all, the group of teens snapchatted videos from the party, leaving incriminating evidence for authorities to sort through. So far, a few of the violators have been arrested and are facing charges of underage drinking and burglarizing private property.
It’s no secret that 2017 has been a memorable year for music festivals around the United States. Events including Coachella, EDC, and Ultra Music Festival, have put on their best events yet while showcasing some of the most legendary lineups. However, as the festival season begins to wind down, there’s one event in particular that stole the show in the South.
While TomorrowWorld was a complete flop, Atlanta, Georgia stepped up its game at this year’s Imagine Music Festival and if you weren’t one of the lucky ravers to experience it yourself, don’t worry, that’s why I’m here to give you the ultimate rundown.
Imagine Music Festival set the bar high with its music and production and takes the cake for emphasizing its “aquatic fairytale” theme.
After getting through the entrance line, attendees were ushered up a ramp leading to the top of the Speedway’s bleachers. Here you were greeted with an incredible aerial view of the entire festival. Flashing neon lights and feeling the bass shake the bleachers as you walk down made for a pretty exhilarating rush.
The festival was equipped with all the necessities for enduring that hot Atlanta heat including misting pavilions, water refill stations, a cooling hut, and a splash pool. Spread out in the racetrack’s infield featured six unreal stages; the two main stages being Oceania and Amazonia. Carnival rides and crazy art installations were scattered throughout the venue, as well as tons of shopping booths with huge selections (the glass blowing booth was by far my favorite).
Now we all know that none of this matters without the music, so let’s move on to the most important part. This year’s lineup was without a doubt Imagine’s best one yet and the artists definitely lived up to their expectations.
Datsik, Deorro, and Tiesto performed back-to-back on Friday night at the Oceania Stage and it’s safe to say that all three absolutely killed it. Datsik sported his LED ninja hat and mask and put on a pretty bass heavy performance, giving the crowd exactly they wanted.
Tiesto once again proved that he’s still got it as he delivered a fast-paced house set and threw in some of his classics such as “Adagio for Strings” and “Red Lights.”
Festival organizers also did a great job portraying the “aquatic fairytale” theme. Giant jellyfish totem poles floated above the crowd and elevated pools were positioned on either side of the stage while exotic dancers splashed around in unison. Towards the end of Tiesto’s set, festival security passed out blue LED wands that radiated an ocean vibe throughout the crowd.
Saturday was definitely more of a spread out day as they opened up the Amazonia Stage, which had more of a jam and chill vibe. The day was packed full of iconic artists including Pretty Lights, Deadmau5, Flux Pavilion, Zomboy, Fransis Derelle, Liquid Stranger and the list goes on.
Fans were seen running back-and-forth from the Oceania Stage to the Amazonia Stage, as the night was full of back-to-back performances that you just couldn’t miss. Zomboy started off the night with an hour-long set of some intense dubstep while Gorgon City took over the Disco Inferno Stage with a great deep house set. Flux Pavilion and Deadmau5 wrapped up the night at the Oceania Stage with sets of hard dubstep and electronic music.
Day three had more of a chill vibe compared to Friday and Saturday and it was a lot less crowded. Illenium put on a hell of a show with thrilling electronic rhythms and melodies while Seven Lions followed with a progressive house set mixed in with some dubstep.
Above & Beyond closed the night at the Oceania Stage and as usual, gave the crowd their special “group therapy” with inspirational messages on the screens. With just an hour left of the festival, Claude Vonstroke takes the cake for bringing the heat at the Disco Inferno Stage. Fans were seen climbing the bleachers to get the best view and as the LED wands were passed out, a sea of blue was radiated throughout the crowd.
When midnight struck, the sky was filled with fireworks, sadly marking the end of Imagine Music Festival 2017.

Overall, it’s remarkable how far this festival has come in just four years and I’m excited to see what the future holds. If you couldn’t make it this year, I highly suggest you start moving around your schedule for next year because this is definitely something you don’t want to miss.
Imagine Music Festival, you killed it. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend.
If you haven’t heard about Whethan yet, now is a good time to start listening. This 17 year old producer has been taking the electronic music scene by storm, with no sign of stopping anytime soon.
Whethan, known in real life as Ethan Snoreck, first became interested in music many years ago, after rapping with his friend Trevor in the 6th grade. As he got a bit older, he became more influenced by legendary electronic artists such as Daft Punk and Deadmau5, and decided to give producing a shot after ‘messing around’ with the garageband app on his ipad.
Since those days, Whethan has clearly honed in his mixing skills and made his mark on the EDM community. In 2016, he released a smash remix of Mssingo’s track “XE3,” which garnered a whopping 8 million plays on Soundcloud.
That same year, he was signed on as the youngest producer on Australia’s renowned music label Future Classic. His fresh, synth saturated, future bass sound has gotten him the recognition of OWSLA head and electronic music legend, Skrillex, and he’s collaborated with notable dubstep producers such as Flux Pavillion in recent months.

The opportunities don’t stop there. This ambitious producer is now on the 2nd half of his “Good Nights” tour, which will span three months and hits the majority of the US and select cities in Canada. Whethan is sure to be in a city near you shortly, so don’t sleep on this one. Check out his dates below!
Delivering a fresh new three-track EP with long-time friend Max Chapman, pan-Atlantic DJ and producer Secondcity unveils hot new production ‘Terrace Tales’.
Following the release of Rowan’s critically acclaimed ‘Kwelanga’, Secondcity and Max grace the opening track of the EP, the self-titled ‘Terrace Tales’ with tribal sounds and bells that give the production an uptempo house-focused feel, and follow on from the latin sounds found in ‘La Fiesta’ and ‘Kwelanga.‘ Launching into an elongated build, the production displays both artists’ penchant for the percussive.
A diverse and dynamic EP, ‘En Las Nubes’ is slanted towards more progressive tech-house chords, using a rumbling build-up and looping synths to create a more brooding feel, whilst the EP’s conclusion, the wonderfully eclectic ‘Maddison’ revolves around thundering deep hooks and a hearty bassline.
Secondcity remarked: “This EP has been something we have wanted to do together for a long time. I’ve been a fan of Max’s music and we are both very much into the same stuff, this EP is a real reflection of both our sounds bundled into 1 package. We had so much fun making these records and being able to release them with relief is a like a dream for us too.”
