Damian Lazarus announced the return of Day Zero Masada: Dweller of the Dead Sea with stellar lineup!

Damian Lazarus’ Day Zero remains an essential marking of time for the electronic music community, a signal of new beginnings and a party that connects the physical and spiritual realms. Last week, Damian and his dedicated team announced the return of Day Zero Masada: Dweller of the Dead Sea, touching down at the historic mountain of Masada and lowest part of the world on September 16, 2022.

Now, Day Zero shares a 2022 lineup packed with a renowned assembly of DJ’s and producers from around the globe. Leading the buzz is international techno star Anfisa Leyago, whose profile has skyrocketed from Italy to America and beyond. Known for his mastery in delivering exemplary performances that mirror the moment, Sasha is set to go back to back for the very first time with Grammy-nominated, NYC legend Danny Tenaglia.

Life and Death punk-dance founder DJ Tennis, a regular collaborator and performer at Damian‘s Day Zero events, will similarly join forces for a B2B with the rising Carlita, affectionately known for her ever-changing musical vault of worldwide sounds and cultures.

Best known for her vibrant blend of disco, house, afrobeat, & funk, Chloe Caillet is a welcome addition in 2022, joined by Goldcap as well as the reunion of Kenny Glasgow and No.19 Music boss Jonny White as Art Department, who came together for the first time since 2015 at Damian‘s sold-out Get Lost Miami party in March.

Adam Ten, leader of Tel Aviv-based techno collective Dov Gummy, will add to the list of collaborative sets – as he joins Mita Gami, an influential member of the Burning Man community. Those fortunate enough to attend in person can further expect live sets from the likes of Be Svendsen, ‘concert techno’ maestro Jan Blomqvist, and The Hallways, a middle eastern trio who harness a vibrant amalgamation of dark synths, rare drum machines and organs to create ‘Experimental Arabic Drone Music.’

Anchoring these dynamic performers is of course Day Zero founder Damian Lazarus, who will resurrect his iconic role as the event’s shepherd with his now legendary sunrise sermon. Damian’s climactic closer is sure to resonate with attendees and the electronic community’s spirit for years to come. Those who attended the debut edition of the event will remember when when Damian played a reworked version of Bill Withers, “Lovely Day,” as the sun came up amongst 15,000 party people and the desert went into a mass of joyful madness

Founded in the jungles of Tulum in 2012, Day Zero has grown from a humble gathering into one of the world’s most celebrated festivals. The event brings forth earth shattering music curation combined with industry-leading production, creating the ideal environment for dancefloor transcendence. From the ancient Mayan civilizations, the elite experience-crafters now focus on the Bedouin tribes and nomadic peoples of all creeds and cultures that have crossed the Dead Sea region.

Known since its 2019 launch as a gathering as deep and otherworldly as the land on which it is hosted, revelers will be guided through a hero’s journey from sundown to sunrise amidst the great expanse of the Dead Sea. It is here that the frequencies of the world’s best electronic music echo through canyons carved over millennia, a sacred pilgrimage first set forth by Canaanites, Reubens, Gads and many others.

The Mountain of Masada is one of Israel’s most storied historical locations, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that sits on the shores of the Dead Sea and traces its origins to 30BC. Dancing as the sun rises over the Jordanian Mountains with the world’s best party people remains one of global rave’s most breathtaking experiences.

As always, Damian Lazarus and his team take the utmost care to honor and protect the sacred lands in which Day Zero takes place. The festival remains committed to its leave no trace policy for attendees, carbon emission offsetting, and sustainable event production that includes heavy emphasis on recycling and biodegradable materials. After success as the first plastic-free music event in Israel during its first iteration, guests can expect this tradition to be continued in 2022. Furthermore, attendees can count on the ability to revel in elaborate and beautiful performances from the Day Zero circus team, as well as art installations, desert sculptures and surprises at every turn.

Despite its global expansion and renowned pedigree, Day Zero‘s ethos of creating peak experiences at historically elevated and beautiful locales remains unchanged. Lazarus knows well that it is only by harnessing this connection between the ancient and modern worlds that humanity can truly understand its place in this next chapter. Together with the Tripping Productions team, Day Zero will continue to raise the bar as it synthesizes nature, artistry, and technology in new and innovative ways.

SEXPAYS Gears Up For 5th Release With Epic House-Heater Titled “ Charli XCX – Crash (SEXPAYS Basement At Webster Hall Mix)”

NYC-based SEXPAYS is 5 tracks deep and has only started the project since the start of 2022, SEXPAYS is proving his commitment to this project month after month and refuses to look back. Now nearing 100,000 streams across all platforms, he now releases a remix of “Crash” by Charlie XCX.

True to the signature style we’ve seen from him thus far, an infectious blend of tech house and nu-disco collides to generate a single that radiates with originality. Punctual basslines drive a hypnotic platform that eases the listener and allows the track to do its work.

The melodic layers provide a tasty groove, the entirety of the single designed as club-ammo to help moments peak in a fire set. The remix has multi-generational appeal intrinsically built into it, its blend of house influences from the ‘golden era of house’ mixed with samples and effects from our digital era renders an aura all it’s own – an intentional action from the quasi-anonymous solo DJ.

SEXPAYS doesn’t play it safe, many pieces of content pushes the limits of what’s allowed on DSPs, takedowns not being new to the artist who is fiercely dedicated to his vision of this alias at all costs. The solo DJ/producer received a perma-ban twice from leading streaming platform Twitch due to ‘mature content.’

The experience is just getting warmed up, “BLANK” being the next chapter in a saga that brings one man’s ideas for house music to life.
